A Splash of Color

I’ve noticed that the last few blog posts have had a lot of pictures of very gray yarn and that, my friends, just won’t do.

2020 is gray enough in attitude, I don’t need it in my yarn as well.

Am I using this as an excuse to start a new project? Maybe.

I have decided to finally cast on a ‘3 Color Cashmere Cowl’ by Joji Locatelli (this is a Ravelry link, fyi). I’ve heard Jasmin from the Knitmore Girls Podcast rave about it for ages and I think I’m ready to give it a try. I’ll probably even do a swatch like a good knitting person.

Probably.

I had a skein of pink/magenta-ish sock yarn in my stash and I finally ordered a few more skeins so I’ll have the full three colors.

Yes, I realize that there is even more gray yarn here. But…it’s a lighter shade so that’s something right?

RIGHT?

I also had a good time taking pictures of the yarn though the pink is a bit darker than what’s shown here. It’s been a while since I’ve really done much with photography, eventually I’ll get lighting figured out. Until then, enjoy one more shot.
